The International Conference on Future Technologies in Wind Energy took place in Boulder, Colorado, USA in late October. Ebba Dellwik from DTU presented early results and perspectives of InnoWind in her invited talk called ’Modeling and Validation across Scales: Parametrizing the effect of the forested landscape’. Wind turbines are not unusual in forested areas. It is therefore important to refine modelling of the complex interaction between the wind and the trees.
