DHRTC is in 2020 starting up a new research programme focusing on abandonment of oil and gas fields.

The programme must contribute to ensuring an environmentally and economically sound closure of Danish production facilities in the Danish North Sea as they reach their maximum lifetime within the decades to come.

Here and now, DHRTC has opened for project proposals for feasibility studies for a limited part of the programme, namely ‘Alternative use of Offshore Infrastructures and Reservoirs after cessation of Oil and Gas Production’. Project proposals for the rest of the programme will be opened later.

Find more information here.
