Project participants from InnoWind met with end users from the wind energy industry for the workshop "Land surfaces for wind energy modeling using new satellite sensors" last week. The workshop took place at Østerild National Test Center for Large Wind Turbines – a site that is used intensively in InnoWind for development and testing of new satellite based data layers. Participants could see the landscape with their own eyes and admire the tall wind turbines at the test site. Later, they worked hands-on with new satellite based data layers in the siting tool WindPRO.
